African Explorer Rental Terms and Conditions
This document outlines the terms and conditions between African Explorer and its suppliers ("the Company") and the renter ("the Customer") for all vehicle and equipment rentals.
Safety of customers is the top priority of the Company. All vehicles are well-maintained and modified as needed to ensure reliability and durability for various terrains across Southern Africa. Customers must exercise due care while operating rental vehicles.
Minimum rental periods apply ranging from 3-7 days depending on location. One way rentals between locations are allowed for additional fees. No refunds will be given for early returns. Late returns will be charged the full daily rate.
The renter is responsible for all fines, taxes or unexpected costs incurred during the rental period. Necessary travel permissions must be obtained for cross-border travel. Travel in some countries carries more risk due to limited support availability.
The Company reserves the right to refuse rentals at their discretion. Renters and additional drivers must abide by all terms of the rental agreement. All vehicles must be returned in the same condition as received, minus reasonable wear and tear.
A security/excess deposit is required and kept on hold for the duration of the rental until the vehicle has been returned in good order/up to 21 days. Renters are responsible for properly securing and parking vehicles during rentals.
The Company is not responsible for issues outside of South Africa such as foreign fines or penalties, and renters must ensure all necessary travel documents are valid through the rental period.
While remote areas have limited support facilities, the Company will make best efforts to assist customers remotely or through local resources in the event of vehicle issues. Regular maintenance is performed to manufacturer and Company standards.
By proceeding with the booking enquiry, the renter and all additional drivers are consenting to all the terms and conditions outlined in this document. It is important to note that this document serves as a general agreement between the renter and the Company.
Furthermore, additional terms and conditions from third-party suppliers may be provided upon requesting a quotation or upon booking confirmation. In such cases, the renter and all additional drivers are required to adhere to the terms and conditions of the third-party supplier/s.
Any changes to the terms will only be valid if they are documented in writing and signed by both parties. Invalid clauses will be removed without affecting the overall agreement.
